We have entered our Pine Marten Recovery Project in the Aviva Community Fund. Our initial application has been accepted and now it is up to the public to decide who will receive funding.
The pine marten, a British mammal once common across the UK, is under threat of extinction in England and Wales. This project aims to secure the survival of this struggling marten population by bringing a small but significant number of pine martens from Scotland to suitable sites in England and Wales.
If successful in winning this funding, we will be able to continue the restoration of this iconic native species, whilst providing lasting opportunities for the communities local to the project.
